Overlooking a river glade, Kitich is the only camp in the Matthews Mountain Range, a spectacular sky island of isolated mountain forest that rise up, out of the surrounding vast desert plains. For those willing to stray off the beaten track, Kitich Camp offers a unique forest wildlife experience in 900km² paradise of untouched wilderness that’s home to forest hog,  melanistic leopard, the rare De Brazza monkey. Swim in natural rock pools of the crystal mountain streams and learn traditional ways of tracking wildlife, while being guided by experienced Samburu warriors along the dense forest paths of endemic giant cycads and wild orchids.
